Real Salt Lake's victory over Philadelphia pushed them up two spots in this week's ranking to #4 overall, while Sporting Kansas City's home draw this evening against the LA Galaxy dropped them two spots to #11 in this week's rankings.

Ummmm... how is SKC below Chicago Fire and DC United? A draw with league leading LA without two of our top scorers? I think you need to rethink your rankings.
It may not pass your eye test, but both Chicago and DC United are on a better run of form in the last 5 games than Sporting. Also DC is pretty close to Sporting when you look at points per games played, as they have a couple of games in hand. The middle of my rankings are very closely bunched. It is a mathematical approach, with a 60% weight on overall results, 40% on last 5 matches. So one point here or there would push Sporting up. Thanks for the comment though, happy to see someone is looking at least!
